Bill overview
The One School, One Nurse Act of 2025 aims to increase the number of school nurses in public elementary and secondary schools by establishing a grant program. The Department of Education will provide funding to local educational agencies and partnerships between states and local districts to recruit, hire, and retain registered nurses. The bill also directs the Secretary of Education to set recommended nurse-to-student ratios and establish a process for tracking progress toward these goals.
