Bill overview
This bill directs the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct a comprehensive study of menopause care provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs to women veterans experiencing perimenopause, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and menopause. The GAO will assess the quality of care, access to services, and existing guidelines, and then the VA must develop and submit a strategic plan to address the study’s recommendations and improve menopause care for veterans.
