Bill overview
The Reproductive Healthcare Leave Act aims to provide Americans with paid leave time to manage symptoms related to reproductive health conditions or to access reproductive healthcare services. This bill would allow employees to use up to 96 hours of paid leave annually for reasons such as menstruation, endometriosis, fertility treatments, or termination of pregnancies. Employers with existing paid leave policies that meet the requirements of the act are not required to provide additional leave. The act also establishes a process for employers to notify employees about the availability of this leave and prohibits interference with employees exercising their rights.
