Overview
This bill creates a new medal, the Agent Orange Veterans Service Medal, to honor veterans who have received compensation for exposure to Agent Orange or are considered Vietnam-era herbicide-exposed veterans. The medal will be awarded to individual veterans and, in the case of deceased veterans, to their next-of-kin. The Secretary of Defense will design and produce the medal, and the Secretary of Veterans Affairs will certify eligibility for recipients.
