Bill overview
This bill requires the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct a comprehensive audit of the Social Security Administration’s computer systems and networks. The audit will assess security vulnerabilities, potential privacy violations, and compliance with relevant federal laws. The GAO will then submit a report to Congress and the Social Security Administration with recommendations for improvements. The Social Security Administration is required to address any identified vulnerabilities within 90 days of receiving the audit report.
