The FAIR Act aims to restrict federal funding to National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and their related entities. It does this by amending the Communications Act to prohibit federal funds from being used to support these organizations, requiring the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to cancel existing funding and revise grant criteria. Additionally, the bill directs federal agencies to terminate existing funding and ensure compliance with contracts and grants related to these organizations.
