Bill overview
The MORE Savings Act aims to improve access to treatment for opioid use disorder by expanding coverage and reducing financial barriers. It directs the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation to test a model eliminating cost-sharing for opioid treatments and recovery support services under Medicare. The bill also requires private health insurers to cover these services without cost-sharing starting in 2027 and increases federal matching funds for medication-assisted treatment under Medicaid, particularly for states participating in a pilot program.
