Bill overview
The ABLE Employment Flexibility Act allows employers to contribute to ABLE accounts for their employees instead of, or in addition to, traditional retirement plan contributions. This would help individuals with disabilities save for future expenses without jeopardizing their existing retirement benefits. The bill clarifies how these employer contributions are treated for tax purposes and ensures that eligible ABLE individuals can participate in these plans. It also directs the Treasury to update regulations and publications to encourage employer participation.
