The FASTER Act aims to change how revenue collected from passenger aviation security fees is used. Currently, a portion of these fees is required to be credited to the Treasury and deposited in the general fund. This bill seeks to eliminate this requirement, allowing the funds to be directly used to cover the costs of aviation security screening. By removing this offset, the bill intends to provide more flexibility in allocating these funds.
