Bill overview
The Dennis and Lois Krisfalusy Act aims to broaden access to memorial headstones and markers for the surviving spouses, children, or dependents of veterans and members of the Armed Forces. Currently, these benefits were limited to those who died on or after November 11, 1998, but this bill removes that restriction. This means that individuals who lost a loved one before that date, and whose remains are unavailable, may now be eligible for this support. The bill honors the sacrifices of veterans and their families by increasing access to a tangible memorial.
