Bill overview
The Transparency In Charges for Key Events Ticketing Act (TICKET Act) aims to increase transparency for consumers buying event tickets. It requires ticket sellers – including those on the secondary market – to clearly display the total ticket price, including all fees, at the time the ticket is offered. The bill also prohibits speculative ticket sales and establishes rules for refunds if events are canceled or postponed, while the Federal Trade Commission will be responsible for enforcing these rules.
