Bill overview
This bill expands the Rough Mountain and Rich Hole Wilderness areas within the George Washington National Forest in Virginia. Specifically, it adds approximately 1,000 acres to the Rough Mountain Wilderness and designates roughly 4,600 acres as a potential wilderness area for incorporation into the Rich Hole Wilderness. The bill allows for temporary use of motorized equipment for water quality improvement projects during the transition period before the potential wilderness area is formally designated as wilderness.
