Bill overview
The Armed Forces Pay Act of 2025 aims to ensure continued pay for military personnel and civilian employees of key intelligence agencies in the event of a government shutdown. It provides continuing appropriations to cover pay and allowances for members of the Armed Forces, including reservists, and civilian employees of the Department of Defense, the Coast Guard, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the Central Intelligence Agency. These funds would remain available until regular appropriations are enacted or September 30, 2026. The bill also clarifies the congressional authorization for intelligence activities during fiscal year 2026.
