The Representing VA with Accuracy Act (S. 831) aims to improve communication between the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and veterans. Specifically, the bill requires the VA to use a consistent, easily identifiable phone number for calls related to veteran services and to clearly indicate when a call is from the VA. It also mandates that the Veterans Health Administration establish at least one call center in each of the United States’ time zones to handle appointment and referral inquiries.
