Bill overview
The Black Vulture Relief Act of 2025 allows livestock producers and their employees to take actions against black vultures to protect livestock from harm. Specifically, they can capture, kill, disperse, or transport a vulture that poses a threat to livestock, or cause injury to a vulture while attempting to do so, provided they don’t use poison. The bill also requires producers to report vulture takings to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to track these activities and ensure compliance with existing protections.
