The Veterans Scam and Fraud Evasion Act of 2025 (VSAFE Act) establishes a new position within the Department of Veterans Affairs – a Veterans Scam and Fraud Evasion Officer. This officer will be responsible for preventing, reporting, and responding to fraud and scams targeting veterans and their families, as well as directing them to relevant resources. The bill also includes a clerical amendment to formally recognize the new position and extends a payment limit for veterans’ pensions.
