Bill overview
This bill, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act of 2025, permanently prohibits the use of federal funds for abortions or health insurance plans that cover abortions. It extends these restrictions to the District of Columbia and clarifies that federal facilities and employees cannot provide abortion services. The bill also requires health plans to clearly disclose whether they cover abortions and any associated premium surcharges, and it modifies the Affordable Care Act to prevent federal subsidies from being used for plans that include abortion coverage. Exceptions are made for abortions resulting from rape, incest, or to preserve a woman's life.
