Bill overview
The Anti-Racism in Public Health Act of 2025 aims to address systemic racism and police violence’s impact on public health. It establishes a National Center on Antiracism and Health within the CDC to conduct research, develop interventions, and promote awareness of racism as a public health crisis. The bill also creates a law enforcement violence prevention program within the CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control to study and mitigate the public health consequences of police brutality and violence, including data collection and best practice analysis.
