Bill overview
The Connected Maternal Online Monitoring Act (Connected MOM Act) aims to improve maternal and child health by addressing gaps in Medicaid coverage for remote physiological monitoring devices. Specifically, the bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services to analyze how states currently cover these devices and identify any barriers to coverage. Based on this analysis, the HHS will then provide resources to states to help them expand access to these tools, such as pulse oximeters and blood glucose monitors, for pregnant and postpartum women enrolled in Medicaid.
