Bill overview
This bill creates a temporary immigration status for individuals who have been granted parole into the United States through the ‘Uniting for Ukraine’ program. It establishes ‘Ukrainian guest status,’ granting these individuals the ability to work in the U.S. while the hostilities in Ukraine continue and conditions in Ukraine allow for safe return. This status is initially granted from the date of parole and expires 120 days after the Secretary of State determines hostilities have ceased and conditions in Ukraine are suitable for return. The status can be revoked if an individual is found to be ineligible.
