Bill overview
This bill, the Promoting Classical Learning Act of 2025, aims to increase the use of the Classical Learning Test (CLT) in admissions for military academies and certain federally-run schools. It requires the Department of Defense to allow CLT scores to be considered alongside SAT and ACT scores for applicants to military academies and the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) to administer the CLT to eleventh-grade students. Additionally, the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) is required to administer the CLT to eleventh-grade students in BIE-operated schools.
