Bill overview
This bill transfers approximately 1,082.63 acres of federal land in Washington State into trust for the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe. This land will become part of their reservation and is subject to certain management requirements related to the Elwha River. Importantly, the bill prohibits any gaming activities on this newly acquired land. It also ensures the transfer does not impact existing treaty rights.
