Bill overview
This bill, the United States Foreign Service Commemorative Coin Act, requires the Treasury Secretary to mint coins – $5 gold, $1 silver, and half-dollar clad – to honor the history and contributions of the U.S. Foreign Service. The coins will feature designs emblematic of diplomacy and will include inscriptions and a surcharge. All surcharges collected will be donated to the Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training to support the preservation and sharing of diplomatic history. The issuance of these coins is planned for 2029.
