Bill overview
This bill directs the Secretary of Agriculture to transfer approximately 310 acres of National Forest System land in Franklin County, Mississippi, to the Scenic Rivers Development Alliance. The Alliance must submit a written request within 180 days of the bill’s enactment, and the Secretary must determine that the conveyance is in the public interest. The land will be transferred via a sale, with consideration based on fair market value determined through appraisal or competitive sale, and proceeds will be deposited into the Sisk Act fund.
