Bill overview
This bill, the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2025, changes the rules for milk offered in school lunch programs. Currently, schools were required to offer only fat-free or low-fat milk. This legislation allows schools to provide students with whole milk, as well as reduced-fat, low-fat, fat-free, and flavored milk options, including organic and non-organic varieties. It also expands who can request an alternative milk option for students with dietary restrictions.
