Bill overview
This bill directs the executive branch to develop a comprehensive strategy for strengthening and expanding the use of Trade Transparency Units. These units are designed to identify and combat international money laundering by sharing information across various government agencies and with foreign counterparts. The bill requires the Homeland Security Secretary, along with other key officials, to create this strategy within 180 days of the bill’s enactment. A subsequent report will be submitted to Congress for review and assessment.
