Bill overview
The CONNECT for Health Act of 2025 aims to expand access to telehealth services under Medicare. It permanently removes geographic restrictions on telehealth originating sites, allowing homes to be used as originating locations, and permanently allows federally qualified health centers and rural health clinics to serve as distant sites. The bill also includes provisions for CMS to waive coverage restrictions during public health emergencies, post information about telehealth services, provide resources to healthcare professionals, and ensure quality measures are applied. Additionally, it addresses fraud and abuse, beneficiary and provider support, and data collection related to telehealth.
