Bill overview
This bill, the Veterans Health Care Freedom Act, aims to give veterans more choice in their healthcare. It will establish a three-year pilot program where veterans enrolled in the VA system can select their own healthcare providers, including VA facilities, community providers, and those under Veterans Care Agreements. After four years, the program will become permanent, removing restrictions on accessing care and allowing veterans to receive care at any VA facility regardless of location.
