Bill overview
The LEOSA Reform Act modifies the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004 to expand the ability for certain law enforcement officers to carry concealed firearms. Specifically, it allows active and retired law enforcement officers authorized to carry under federal law to carry concealed firearms in school zones and across state lines, and it permits them to carry firearms and ammunition in national parks, on public property, and in certain federal facilities. The bill also provides states with the option to adjust the requirements for retired officers to maintain their concealed carry permits.
