Overview
This bill expands the Smith River National Recreation Area by adding portions of the Smith River and its tributaries in Oregon and California. It amends the Smith River National Recreation Area Act and the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to designate specific river segments as wild or recreational rivers. The bill also includes a study to assess the area’s values and directs management adjustments to protect those values, as well as provisions related to wildfire management, vegetation management, tribal rights, and acquisition of land.
