Overview

This bill authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to provide up to $50 million in grants to the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation in Medora, North Dakota, to help establish the library and make Roosevelt’s life and legacy accessible to the public. The foundation must first secure $100 million in matching funds from the State of North Dakota or other non-Federal sources before receiving federal funds. The bill also allows the federal government to loan artifacts and objects related to Theodore Roosevelt to the library for exhibition purposes, without cost to the library.
