Bill overview
The TAP Promotion Act aims to improve the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) by requiring pre-separation counseling to include a presentation about benefits offered by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This presentation will be standardized and reviewed by the VA and veterans service organizations. The VA will also be required to report annually on the presentations’ participation, attendance, and recommendations for improvement.
