Overview
This bill establishes a fee for the Talladega County Sheriff's Office to serve legal documents outside of Alabama. The fee is $50 for regular service of process and $100 for serving inmates at a federal correctional facility. The collected fees will be deposited into a separate account for the sheriff's office to be used for law enforcement purposes, and certain entities, such as the District Attorney and other county law enforcement, are exempt from paying these fees.
