Overview
This bill changes the process for swimming pool inspections in Alabama. It allows swimming pool contractors, who are licensed under state law, to request that local governing entities perform inspections as a condition of permits for construction, repair, or maintenance. The bill ensures that the inspection is conducted if the contractor, their employee, or a subcontractor working under their supervision is performing the work. The law will take effect on October 1, 2026.
