Overview
This bill allows the Choctaw County Commission to increase its ad valorem property taxes by up to five mills. The additional revenue generated from this tax increase will be specifically dedicated to improving county roads and bridges. To implement this increase, the commission must hold a public hearing and obtain approval from a majority of Choctaw County voters. The increase is capped at five tax years and requires detailed plans for how the funds will be used.
