Overview
This bill aims to bring Alabama’s administrative rules in line with the state’s Administrative Procedure Act (APA). Currently, the APA exempts hunting and fishing seasons and bag limits set by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources from being subject to the APA’s procedural requirements. This bill removes that exemption, meaning these regulations will now be subject to the same review and public comment process as other rules adopted by state agencies. The bill also includes technical updates to the code language.
