Bill overview
This bill changes the rules for challenging decisions made by the Nevada Board of Review regarding unemployment benefits claims. It requires petitions for judicial review to meet stricter requirements for service and compliance with Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure. If an appellant fails to properly serve the petition within 45 days, or fails to correct deficiencies within 10 days of a court motion, the court loses jurisdiction and the case must be dismissed.
