Bill overview
This bill amends Nevada law to require certain county officers – including commissioners, clerks, recorders, sheriffs, treasurers, assessors, district attorneys, public administrators, and constables – to be registered to vote in the state. It also extends this requirement to supervisors on the Board of Supervisors in Carson City. Importantly, the bill exempts individuals currently holding these offices as of July 1, 2025, from the new registration requirement, but applies it to all future candidates.
