Bill overview
This bill changes how Nevada serves writs of garnishment when the state itself is involved as the garnishee. Currently, the State Controller receives these writs. The bill directs that these writs should instead be served on the Division of Human Resource Management within the Department of Administration. This change clarifies the process for garnishing funds or property held by the state.
