Bill overview
This bill revises provisions related to housing in Nevada. It renames the Housing Advocate position to the Housing Liaison, updates the statewide low-income housing database to include more detailed data and annual reports, and adjusts the funding allocation for the Account for Affordable Housing. Specifically, it increases the percentage of funds that can be drawn from the Account for database maintenance and report preparation, eliminates a previous distribution to a welfare division, and changes the income level for eligibility requirements for affordable housing projects to 30% of the median county income. The bill also creates a new tier of affordable housing, ‘Tier One’, based on a 30% income threshold.
