Bill overview
This bill changes how money from the Education Stabilization Account is used. Currently, if the account exceeds a certain limit, the money is transferred to the State Education Fund. This bill directs that excess funds instead be distributed to Nevada’s school districts proportionally based on student enrollment. The bill also requires school districts to submit plans for how they will spend this money and requires the Superintendent of Public Instruction to report on the money's use and its impact on teacher retention and development.
