Bill overview
This bill makes changes to how health care providers are licensed in Nevada. It eliminates a requirement for doctors to complete a course on the medical consequences of terrorism, and increases the number of continuing medical education hours required for some providers. The bill also requires the Board of Medical Examiners to require a physician assistant on inactive status to pay a biennial registration fee, and changes fees associated with licenses for physicians, physician assistants, and anesthesiologist assistants. Finally, it adjusts the renewal period for certain licenses from annual to biennial.
