Bill overview
This bill requires landlords in Nevada to offer tenants the option to share their positive rental payment information with consumer reporting agencies. Landlords must provide a written offer, a self-addressed envelope for acceptance, and allow tenants to opt-in or opt-out of reporting. If a tenant accepts, the landlord can charge a fee, but must stop reporting if the fee isn't paid within 30 days or upon tenant request. The bill exempts landlords of properties with 15 or fewer units unless they meet specific criteria, such as being a real estate investment trust or corporation.
