This bill modifies provisions related to energy tax abatements for renewable energy facilities in Nevada. Specifically, it allows county boards of commissioners to require applicants receiving a partial tax abatement on federal land to reimburse the county for administrative and operational costs associated with preparing an environmental impact statement. The Director of the Office of Energy can then condition approval of the abatement on compliance with these reimbursement requirements, and counties are prohibited from imposing requirements that would make the facility financially or operationally impractical. The bill also clarifies definitions and establishes a timeline for the abatement process.
