Bill overview
This bill revises provisions related to emergency medical services in Nevada. It allows district boards of health in counties with populations between 100,000 and 700,000 (currently Washoe County) to regulate emergency medical services in the same manner as counties with populations of 700,000 or more, with a key exception: they are prohibited from establishing a program for the treatment of trauma. The bill also makes it easier for individuals aged 16 or older to become certified as ambulance attendants or emergency medical technicians, and clarifies rules regarding licensing and operation of ambulances.
