Bill overview
This bill changes Nevada’s observance of Indigenous Peoples Day. Instead of the current annual proclamation on August 9th, it establishes the second Monday in October as ‘Indigenous Peoples Day.’ The Governor will continue to issue an annual proclamation encouraging the celebration of this day, highlighting the contributions and history of Nevada’s Indigenous communities and promoting stewardship of public lands.
