Bill overview
This bill modifies Nevada’s election procedures primarily by adjusting the deadlines for distributing mail ballots and sample ballots to registered voters. Specifically, it changes the deadline for distributing mail ballots within the state from 20 days to on or after the fifth Monday before the election, but no later than the fourth Monday before the election, and allows voters to opt to receive their mail ballot earlier. The bill also requires county clerks to distribute sample ballots to registered voters before the relevant mail ballot deadlines, and makes a conforming change to ensure sample ballots are distributed before mail ballots for city incorporation elections.
