Bill overview
This bill changes how the Nevada National Guard handles disciplinary actions. It gives accused service members the right to demand a trial by court-martial instead of accepting nonjudicial punishment. The Office of the Military will need to create a training program to inform service members about this right and submit annual reports to the Legislature detailing the training and the outcomes of court-martial trials. The Office will also develop policies and regulations for conducting these trials fairly and efficiently.
