Bill overview
This bill allows Nevada to join the Counseling Compact, an interstate agreement that lets licensed professional counselors practice in other states that are also part of the compact. To do so, counselors must hold a valid license in their home state, meet certain requirements like continuing education and passing a knowledge assessment, and report any adverse actions taken against them. The bill also establishes a coordinated database and reporting system to facilitate information sharing among member states and deems counseling under the compact equivalent to a clinical professional counselor license in Nevada.
