Bill overview
This bill establishes the Outdoor Education Council within the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to promote outdoor education in public schools. The Council will develop standards for outdoor education programs, recognize outstanding teachers, and provide technical assistance to schools. It also authorizes the Council to adopt regulations and makes an appropriation for administrative support. This legislation builds upon a previous bill that created an advisory working group to study ways to incorporate outdoor recreation into the curriculum.
